Our County, Siaya, has one of the lowest forest cover in Kenya (about 0.45%). The Kandhawa Green Children are being capacitated to offer their efforts so as to create a forest at the gazetted forests like the Got Abiero Hill. This is vital for protecting Lake Victoria's catchment areas, and building climate resilience for future generations.
We hope to adopt a section of this gazetted area and by example show the community and the schools what combined efforts can do to increase our forest cover for the benefit of everyone!
