CELEBRATING THE SEASON OF CREATION 2026

The Guide brings reflections and practical ideas to inspire Christian communities, with concrete proposals for celebrating the Season of Creation this year. It highlights with ecumenical events on spirituality, education, sustainability, and advocacy for the care of water bodies at local and global levels.

The Season of Creation is the annual Christian celebration to pray and respond together to the cry of Creation. The “Celebration” begins September 1 - celebrated by some Christian denominations as the World Day of Prayer for Creation and by some as the Feast of Creation - and ends on October 4, the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi.
